Hey everyone! My name is Abby! I am from The Bahamas and I recently moved to Maine after living in Charleston, SC for 5 years. I am happily engaged to my amazing fiancé, Tyler, and together we have three rescue furbabies.

Chloe is 5 and she is a Coonhound German Sheppard mix. Her sweet personality is intoxicating and she can give you the best puppy dog eyes you have ever seen. Then there is Cooper, the newest addition to our family. He is a two year old chihuahua who loves to snuggle, is unsure about other dogs (besides his sisters), and thinks he’s the king of the world. Rescuing him was unexpected but now we could not imagine a life without him. Lastly there is Cali, oh Cali, she is our problem child! She is a 2 year old beagle black lab mix and has energy for days! She has tested our patience way too many times but we love her just the same! I could go on and on about my kiddos but lets move on.
I have my B.A. in psychology and am currently pursuing my Masters in social work.
I also have Chronic Lyme Disease.
I have created this blog to share my story and my experience with Lyme disease. I want others to know they are not alone when it comes to living with such a debilitating condition. Writing and blogging is not something that comes naturally to me, but I feel as though it is important to talk about Lyme Disease and promote awareness as it relates to the medical, physical, social, and mental aspect of this condition. I want this to be a space where I, as well as others, can talk about our experiences and provide each other with advice and support. Please feel free to share your stories, poems, photos, and whatever else you have with me by going to the share page, commenting, or sending me an email. Sharing your story could be life changing for someone else.
In the end, if nothing else, I hope this blog helps at least one person.
And remember…..”Trust that as long as you don’t give up and keep pushing forward, no matter how hopeless things may seem, you will make it.” -Daniell Koepke
